The AIDT has been set up to enable teachers of dance to obtain an independent Garda vetting certificate for all teachers and assistant teachers within their dancing schools.

AIDT is registered with the National Vetting Bureau for the purpose of Garda Vetting.

The National Vetting Bureau (Children & Vulnerable Persons) Acts 2012-2016 commenced on the 29th April 2016 and from this date it is mandatory for all persons working with children and vulnerable adults to be Garda Vetted.

It is now a criminal offence for a person who engages in work with children & vulnerable adults (or employs another person) to do so without first obtaining a vetting disclosure from the National Vetting Bureau.

It is not permissible for an individual to have a vetting application processed for themselves.  Vetting applications will only be accepted from organisations registered with the National Vetting Bureau to fullfill such function.

Let AIDT become your umbrella organisation for this service.

Visit Garda Vetting page which outlines the application procedure.
